St. Louis Fringe Festival
MIDNIGHT TO PRESENT DANIEL MacIVOR’S HOUSE AT ST LOUIS FRINGE FESTIVAL
The Midnight Company will present Daniel MacIvor’s HOUSE at The St. Louis Fringe Festival, which will run June 17-27. There will be six performances of the show which will be performed by Joe Hanrahan and directed by Sarah Whitney, at The Creative Exchange Lab, 3307 Washington. Tickets are available on line from The St Louis Fringe (stlfringe.com), starting May 11, with tickets available at The Fringe Box Office once the Festival is underway.
HOUSE is a stand-up sit-down one-man comedy nightmare. The Globe and Mail in Canada said, “It’s a character study, but the writing is wild, comic and crafted…transforming the protagonist’s too demanding world into a hallucinatory landscape.” Daniel MacIvor is one of Canada’s most acclaimed playwrights, actors and directors. Working from the Toronto theatre company he started, da da kamera, his best-known plays include HERE LIES HENRY, MONSTER and CUL-DE-SAC.
The Midnight Company produced CUL-DE-SAC in 2007, with a performance by Hanrahan, directed by Whitney.
The Company recently presented SEX, DRUGS, ROCK & ROLL, and will be presenting two plays by Conor McPherson, SAINT NICHOLAS and THE GOOD THIEF in July at Herbie’s Vintage 72.
